Crazy little story-

Last week, i was looking through old photos of paintings I’ve made through the years and i stumbled upon this one.

After some digging, i realized it was from back in 2017 when i had an Etsy shop! It’s a commissioned painting of newly engaged @campbellhuntpuckett and @jettwpuckett before they were the Pookie and Jett we know and love today!! Such a small, funny world and such a throwback portrait!

It’s crazy how much has changed in seven years! (Thank g I’ve gotten at least a little better at photographing my work 🤦‍♀️)

ALSO, this weekend they announced they’re having a baby and you know i love doing baby portraits! Just saying 😘

Coastal vibes through and through for this river dreamhome!! So humbled to be entrusted with this big 3-part commission for some special clients!

3 YEARS OF LCFA!! (…a week late)

This post being a week late is v indicative of how year 3 went! It was chaotic, colorful, scatterbrained, and full of joy. I spent a lot more time chasing around a toddler, planning a house Reno, attempting to live in said renoed house, struggling to get into art shows and maybe not painting as much as i would’ve liked but getting it in every chance i got. There were many many late nights so dinner was just a handful of lettuce, clunky vids to grow my social media and my son was often more naked than he was supposed to be. But through all of that, i got to create some of my favorite work. What a wonderful privilege it is to do what i do. Thank you for everyone who gave me a chance and thank you for everyone who helped. I had so much help.

Thank you all for your patience this year as i navigated the balance between commission work, custom work, family & friend life and trying to run the business of it all correctly.

Knowing that i am booked for the rest of the year is such an immense privilege that i do not take lightly. Year 4 has some big things already in store and i am so (kinda) ready!!

I have tried and tried and tried my hand at floral work and just cannot find my footing. But views like these outside my front door make me keep goin!!

Aside from being anywhere with my people obv… i love this makeshift studio- cardboard, bubble wrap, handmedown couch, canvas floor, paint splattered blanket and all 🩷.

I would much rather make 1 really well thought out and produced piece that I’m super proud of than 20 quick churn and burns! But that’s just me!

So know that if you’re working with me, it might take some time but I’m gonna put my whole self into it until it’s 👌 i like things that are worth the wait 😘
